From Paris to Edinburgh
We have just spent the past two weeks in France enjoying the Paris and the Heart of France Tour. Now my friends are probably thinking "Shouldn't Erin be heading home after all that fun in France?"
No.
It didn't seem right to leave my baby on a different continent! Rebecca still has two more weeks at Oxford. (Which by the way she is enjoying more each day!)
So today we traveled from Paris to Edinburgh, Scotland! The next 11 days or so we will be making a little circle around Scotland.
So now would be the time to either unfriend me OR head to the store, buy some shortbread and whisky, and join me for the next part of the adventure!!
Today was just trains all day. So no incredible photos except of Kings Cross Station in London. We left from Platform 7 not 9 3/4.

Today's activities went from feeling like royalty...to feeling like the maid.
The royal part was visiting the Queen's Royal Yacht Britannia. It was an excellent tour through the ship and you felt like the Queen might surprise you and be in the next room.
We had a pot of tea and a scone with cream and jam at the tea room on board the ship. So it was kind of like the Queen had us over for tea, don't you think? It was incredibly easy to take the bus to the mall where the yacht is located and I would highly recommend fitting this site into your itinerary! If you adore all things royal, then this is a do-not-miss opportunity.
The maid part of the day was the un-glamorous part of traveling...laundry. Many of you know we travel with carry on size bags only. Often we will just manage with sink washing, but with two more weeks of travel, we thought we should at least not stink.
So, with the helpful advice of our hotel clerk, we loaded up all the dirties in my suitcase and took a taxi to the laundromat. (This hotel only did laundry priced per piece...at a couple of £ per undies it wasn't worth it!) So two hours later we have clean clothes, a story to tell, and we managed to take the bus back!
I'm kind of excited to have clean pajamas to sleep in tonight. (A funny side note...a few days later I developed a rash from the laundry soap. Nothing serious, and it wasn't too itchy.)
