Our Day With the Group
The Loch Ness Monster?
Our morning began with a boat ride and peering into the deep dark waters of Loch Ness looking for Nessie. Sadly, there were no sightings today. The boat did take us across the water to Urquhart Castle which was a pleasant surprise. The ruins of the castle were fun to look around and there was a visitors center with an interesting film.

Our Afternoon Drive
Our afternoon drive to Oban gave us several photo worthy stopping points. Our lunch stop was in the town of Fort Augustus where there are a series of canals and lochs. We chose a picnic lunch from the grocery store so we could sit out and watch the boats move through the canals. We also stopped at Glencoe and gazed at the majestic green mountains. The Visitor's Centre was a nice little museum with more views.

Our Free Night
We arrived in Oban, and the group was split between two B&Bs. Both were super cute and right along the waterfront. Tonight we were on our own for dinner, and the owner of the B&B gave us a great recommendation of a restaurant. We found Oban to be a cute seaside town, even in the pouring rain.

Dear Friends:
It was all about the amazing views today.
While we did cruise on the Loch Ness, there were no clear Nessie the Monster sightings. It was easy to imagine you might have seen something lurking in the dark water though.
