Our Morning
The weather had indeed changed as we headed out of Edinburgh. The skies opened up just as we were approaching Culross. We were given a tour of the "palace" which was a charming half timbered house. Then as the rain let up a bit, we wandered around the small village. Apparently it is used as a filming location for Outlander, which many in the group were really excited about.

Our Afternoon In St. Andrews
As we arrived in St. Andrews, Helen had the bus drive us around the streets to give us an orientation. There really isn't any way to get too lost, as the town is quite small with only a few streets. We had a nice chunk of time to wander St. Andrews on our own, explore and eat lunch. We enjoyed just strolling around seeing the cathedral ruins, peeking into the university's quad, and relaxing over a quiet lunch. Not being avid golfers, I don't think we gave our full appreciation to history of the golf course. We did, however, find it quite interesting that the beach scene from the movie Chariots of Fire was filmed along the water here!

Dear Friends:
Today was some quality travel time as we left Edinburgh and moved into the Highlands. But along the way we spent some time in St Andrews. I did not play a round of golf... But did stroll through the cute little town.
